The Authors
My name is Garin Vartanian and I am 20-year resident of Lake Arrowhead. I enjoy spending time in the mountains with my family where things move at a slower pace. My background is in law, computer science/information systems and construction. In mid-2021, I was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called a hemangioblastoma. Luckily my surgeon informed me that I had hit the jackpot of brain tumors. It was the right type of tumor, in the right place and he had the ability to remove it. After the procedure I needed a year to recover fully. This experience has given me perspective and makes me feel lucky every day. I am glad to be alive. I hope this site helps all my neighbors in Arrowhead Woods so they can make an informed decision as to their future and that of their children.
