Highlights to the Senator’s Town Hall
Ana Rojas – Woods Property Owners do not want a Government entity taking over authority from the homeowners.
Seline Karakaya – LACSD as a governmental entity will have way more power than AWAC originally did.
Seline Karakaya – The Government of today wants to be in every facet of our lives and that should not occur.
Marilyn Dishell – The community was never consulted and the bill was planned under the table.
Crystal Upton – The current board of AWAC is planning on not moving forward with the AWAC takeover. AWAC’s original intent was not to have LACSD takeover but have a partnership.
Woods Property Owner – Who owns the rights to the water on our property?
Ted Heyck – Arrowhead Woods Property Owners were never consulted and the Senator was misled.
Crystal Upton – The LACSD board would “take over” AWAC. They would make the decisions.
George Hatt – Senator, get rid of the bill.
Woods Property Owner – The community is hearing a lot of resistance to repealing this bill. Audience votes to repeal the bill.
Ben Naraghi – AWAC cannot find the 2010 CCR renewal ballots for us to audit.
Ted Heyck – During the 2010 CCR renewals many signed, sold and then moved. Those votes were counted as YES.
Garin Vartanian – The concepts of due diligence, misrepresentation and who are the stakeholders.
Senator Ochoa Bogh – AWAC should send a formal letter requesting rescission of SB1405.
Roberta Rindenow – AWACs board should send a letter to the senator to withdraw from SB1405.
