PETITION
TO REVERSE THE LACSD/AWAC TAKE-OVER

Senator Ochoa Bogh's District Director has asked property owners to write letters of support for her new legislation to amend the current law and get rid of the LACSD AWAC takeover language.

As a result of Community Opposition to SB-1405, legislation which gave LACSD taxing authority over Arrowhead Woods and the water rights to our properties, Senator Ochoa-Bogh is sponsoring a new newly revised version of SB 1405 which will eliminate the controversial changes which allowed LACSD to manage the CCRs, all or in part, through a cooperative arrangement with and/or take-over of AWAC, Inc. and thereby granted AWAC, Inc. taxing powers.

There are significant forces which still wish to extend LACSD’s powers to take over and/or support AWAC, Inc. and thereby grant AWAC, Inc. taxing powers. We urge that you sign this PETITION to reverse the LACSD/AWAC, Inc take-over which was unfortunately granted in 2023. Without your support of this legislation rescinding the former changes, the LACSD/AWAC take over will remain in place.

This bill would delete that enforcement authorization for the Lake Arrowhead Community Services District.
